Mein Hartd has been tasked for planning / engineering of Phase I Extension. DHAI
Phase I balloting took place on 10 th June'05. Phase 1 Extension is spread over an area of
19200 kanals, which is bifurcated as under: |

The project has been developed along meandering spinal road that connects the area to both DHA Phase-I housing towards north and Rawalpindi M2 Motorway link towards the south. The natural topography has been respected to the greatest possible extent while trying to achieve a viable number of plots and an economical and well engineered infrastructure of civic and municipal services. |

A UAE based company signed an agreement with Defence Housing Authority Islamabad to form a Joint Venture company, for constructing and managing residential houses, commercial primises, bridges etc in phase-I extension comprising an area of 4000 kanal approx.
Other services include in Phase –I are Residential and Commercial plots, Health centers,
Mosques , Fire station , Police station ,Telephone Exchange, Graveyard , Electric Grid station , Sewerage Treatment Plant, Club houses , Sports Complex. |

| Agreement was signed with HRL on 18th of May, 06 and earth breaking ceremony has been carried out on 6th June, 06. Maj General Zaka Ud-din Malik, Vice president DHA Islamabad was the chief guest on this occasion. Brig Abdul Ghafoor, Administrator DHA Islamabad highlighted the following details of the projects. |

Total area to be developed by HRL is 1500 Acres for 6 sectors named A, B, C, D, E and F in Phase-1 extension.

| Total number of plots are approximately 2300 of one kanal each. |
DHA Islamabad is endeavoring to provide quality living for its members through meticulous development of state of the art infrastructure including roads, underground electrification, water and sewerage system, Rain water drainage and telecommunications etc. |
| This project will be completed in a minimum possible time period by HRL. |
