| Development work of direct entry from GT Road is going on with full swing. This work is likely to be completed in the few months of this year. |

The issue of rainwater drainage has been considered in phase 1 and measures have been taken to construct the rainwater drainage system. |

|
Waste water treatment and recycling for irrigation purposes based on drip and sprinklers technology. |

| Under ground Electrification |
|
| 100% underground electrification of European standard is being ensured. This makes the environment more visually attractive. |

| Revival of existing infrastructure/Re-engineering |
|
| On 12th April, 2006 a signing ceremony took place between Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad and National Logistic Cell (NLC). It is agreed by both parties to upgrade the existing facilities provided in phase-I, DHAI and to ensure that all residents receive equal services and facilities. Development work is in progress. Budget reserved for re-engineering of phase-I is 1.5 billion.

| Defence Mall |
|
| Defence Mall has been constructed on Jinnah Avenue with 30 shops on ground floor and DHI offices on first floor. Shops have been rented out to Home Land Developers who have further rented these shops to big names; few of them are fully operational. Bank facilities are also provide at the defence mall. |

| Jamia Masjid |
|
| A Jamia Mosque for 1000 persons and a Sector Mosque for 300 persons are fully functional. |

| Water supply System |

| Water bring the most essential commodity is given due priority. Consultancy services of water specialists have been hired to procure the maximum quality of portable water. The aquatic resources with in the society area are sufficient to cater for water requirement for the next 25 years |

| Avecena Medical Center |
|
| Medi-Care MI room located in Defence park and Jungle Restaurant is inaugurated by V.President DHA Islamabad on 13 th March, 07. Most modern medical equipments, furniture and emergency medicines are available on spot. DHA Islamabad is already providing in-door as well as out-door medical facilities to DHA Islamabad employees and their families. Medicines are available at the spot.
FEATURES OF MEDI-CARE:
• Lectures / Awareness programs are planned on monthly basis.
• Sanitation round of different phases on monthly basis.

| Defence park inagurated on 15th May, 04 with a 130 feet shooter and 65 feet high waterfall is fully functional, which is unique not only in the country but first of its kind in the twin cities of Rawalpindi - Islamabad. | Jacaranda Family Club and Community Center |
|
| The main objective of the Project is to develop an international standard, world class clubhouse, equipped with the most modern facilities. Jacaranda Family Club and Community Center and Sports Complex spreads over 180 Kanals approximately. The foundation stone laying ceremony for the club was held on 19 Aug 2004 . The family club with its unique feature will Insha Allah be completed by 2007. It is a turnkey project, which has been awarded to MAXCORPS properties. Jacranda Club is one of its kind with four levels of cascading saltwater, all weather swimming pools with Jacuzzis, two Cineplex of 120 persons each, 12 lane bowling alleys, 2 gyms with sauna rooms, extreme sports complex for dare devils to do indoor rock climbing, the club also offers multi purpose halls, guest rooms, restaurants children's pan and playing area. |

| Mortgage Finance Housing Project |

| Mortgage Finance Housing Project is a joint venture with MAXCORP properties (Pvt) Ltd, a Malaysian Company in collaboration with local banks. This six model houses have been displayed to serve the purpose. These six different types of shows houses are available (at 1 Kanal/ 10 Marla plots). | Al-Ghurair Giga Pakistan (pvt) Ltd , a UAE based group started constructing " Goldcrest Towers " to be located in Phase-II of DHAI. Area covered for this project is 320 Kanals (40 acre). Maximum height of the towers is be 300ft. The site office is already functional and the earth work has been completed for construction of apartments. Construction activity is in full swing these days.
After the earthquake this company has further strengthened its architectural specifications. Their claim is that now their buildings are safer than open area, in case a earthquake is experienced.
Al-Ghurair Giga Pakistan (pvt) Ltd will also construct commercial towers ‘Sheikh Zahid Bin Commercial area next to the Gold Crest on an area of 5.2 acre reaching height of 300ft. |

| RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF SPECIAL EDUCATION (RISE) |

RISE DHA Islamabad will be an institution of a unique nature that will provide research facilities in addition to eduction, vocational training and boarding facilities for 400 – 500 special children of different age groups so that they become useful members of the society. The main emphasis will be on the physically and mentally handicapped in this Research Institute. It is being established at 35.5 Kanals (5 Acres) of prime land, fully developed and allocated by DHA Islamabad Phase-II.
